Fortina is a special kind of animal. There's not really many places in CT that do a solid job branding themselves. From a brand guy like me, that speaks volumes. As I write this article, @fortinapizza has nearly 33k followers on IG. That's solid for a small group of restaurants in the local CT/NY area (they have 3 locations currently with more on the way). The reason? They just get it.
First of all (and most importantly), they make damn good pizza. Their crust is super soft and flaky and they use incredibly fresh ingredients. The Tenderoni Pie (tomato, spicy sopressata, mozz, chili oil, honey) is their standout in my opinion, but they also do a bunch of incredible starters, meats, and cheese dishes. Their fried meatballs and mozz sticks are on point. These guys can hook up a ribeye steak. There's not much they can't do.
At the same time, the vibe they have curated as a brand is second-to-none in the local area. They throw sick parties. They serve cool drinks. Their Stamford location is a beautiful harbor-front glass building that further elevates the experience. Follow them on Instagram to get a feel for their flow and then just go visit. You'll be happy you did.
