Bar Sugo, SoNo
Meatballs. A reoccurring theme on the blog lately. Anyways, they're just pieces of various meats rolled into balls. When done right though, they can be quite complex and tasty. Once again, I found myself covering a restaurant for our good friends over at @CTEatsOut, and once again I wasn't let down. Bar Sugo makes some really, really good meatballs.
Bar Sugo is in a pretty chill setting outside of SoNo proper (that's not even a real thing, people in America don't say "proper" after shit, but I started saying it when I got back from London, whatever). It's low-key joint and they serve some KILLER drinks (including a couple kickass ones that use basil growing fresh outside in the garden).
For food, start of with the prosciutto-wrapped french fries (insane) and then move onto the meatball sampler so you can try all the different balls. My favorite was Nonna's (beef, sausage, currant mostarda) but by all means pick your own, don't take my word for it. What do I know?
